Real vulnerability is difficult. It requires the ability to feel open without attaching to the circumstances of others. For me, this is difficult because I never asserted my own identity until recently in my life. I gave without taking, without valuing myself fully. Now, I'm learning more balance.

Today kicks off National Novel Writing Month and I'm both excited and confused. I still haven't written my daily dose, but I'm looking forward to seeing what happens. I'm hoping if I'm vulnerable, open, then it will all fall into place.
